Artist Statement
Cherries marks a pivotal moment in my artistic journey and represents one of the first times my skill set was truly pushed to a new height. Created entirely in Procreate, this piece challenged me to slow down and study the subtleties of light, reflection, color, and texture in a way I had never done before.
The simple subject matter became an exercise in patience and observation. The droplets of water, glossy surfaces, and delicate balance between the two cherries taught me that even ordinary objects can become extraordinary through careful attention and dedication to craft.
Looking back, Cherries serves as both a milestone and a reminder of growth. It was one of the first works that made me realize the potential of digital painting and encouraged me to continue exploring realism and pushing the boundaries of what I believed I could create.
